Employment Opportunities

We currently have no open positions. Please check back as we will most certainly be looking for creative, dynamic people to join our team in the future.

If you would like to submit an application to be considered for employment if positions become available, you can find our application here (PDF).

Highland Community Library is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender identity and/or expression, ancestry, citizenship status, mental or physical disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, veteran status, or military status.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering at the library is a great way to build your skills and give back to the community. We will work with you to find a volunteer opportunity that meets your needs.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we do not currently have any in-person volunteer opportunities available. If you would like to be considered for in-person volunteer opportunities in the future, please complete and submit a volunteer application form (PDF or maybe form, haven’t decided yet). You will be contacted if your application is selected to move forward in the process.

Teens who have been ordered to complete at least 10 hours of volunteer service may be able to do them at the library once we begin allowing volunteers in the building. Teens, age 14 through their senior year of high school, must be enrolled in Cambria County school district. Please call or email to schedule an interview with the director (required). Persons under the age of 18 need the signature of a parent or guardian to perform service hours at the library.
