Friends of Highland Community Library

The Friends of Highland Community Library is a nonprofit group of citizens who work together to stimulate a greater interest in and use of the library; to acquaint the community with the functions, resources, facilities and needs of the library; to promote and enrich the services of the library; to encourage and administer library gifts, donations, and memorials of individuals and organizations; to coordinate information to the community on issues of library legislation; to sponsor programs designed to add to the cultural life of the community and to ensure the existence of the Highland Community Library for years to come. We recently reorganized and changed our focus from paid membership to dedicated volunteer work and fundraising.

Fundraising Activities

Every March and August, the Friends of Highland Community Library organize our biannual book sale in the library. Book sales are our largest fundraisers of the year, and we prepare the sale with books donated by members of our community. See the library’s Book Donation Policy (link) for more information about how you can help support our fundraising efforts, and consider joining the Friends to make a lasting impact!
