Curbside Pickup of Books and DVDs

Dear Neighbor,

We hope this unprecedented year finds you and your family healthy and weathering its many challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic has tested all of us—emotionally, financially and professionally. With these tests have come great resourcefulness—to connect to our families and community, continue our work and education, and stay active and entertained.

The library provides valuable connections for our community!

Our online Open Mic Nights meant that our teen patrons could still enjoy their usual songs and laughs. It also proved to be an important connection to combat the isolation of being away from their friends and activities. Our weekly meet-ups grew into a place where teens could gather virtually to chat and share their feelings.

” The library is an important part of our
community, keeping our teens together
even in this time of distancing.

— Heather Marshall

Our youngest patrons were missing the fun and activities of our Children’s Department and their visits with Ms. Leah and Ms. Kristen. Our online Story Times and STEAM projects kept children happy and engaged!

“We love the children’s programs at the
library and the ease of using digital content.”

— Amy Shaffer

Many people in our community had to adapt to working and learning from home. This can be a huge hurdle for those without the right tools, including internet access. The library’s free Wi-Fi and T-Mobile HotSpot rental keep many in our community connected.

” The library is an important part of our
community, keeping our teens together
even in this time of distancing.

How to support the library:

Community support for the library has enabled us to give patrons a steady source of
information and entertainment during the pandemic. Your gift provides quality services that our patrons rely on, and every dollar given generates a substantial return on investment for our community. We truly appreciate your support!

Sincerely,

Ashley N. Flynn, Cambria County Library Director
