  • Monday – Wednesday 10 am – 2 pm
  • Thursday 10 am – 6 pm

You can place holds on materials in our online catalog and a staff member will contact you when your hold is ready to schedule your pickup appointment, or call the library at 814-266-5610 ext. 305 to place your holds with staff and schedule your pickup appointment at that time.

Computer appointments will continue on Thursdays from 2-6 for patrons who need to access the following services:

  • Applying for benefits, including unemployment, social security, health insurance, utilities relief, etc.
  • Driver’s license renewals

If you are unsure whether your computer needs meet our criteria, please contact the library.

The time scheduled for computer appointments will be as limited as possible, so please let the staff know how much time you expect to need when you make your appointment. Staff has the right to refuse a computer appointment for any reason, including time limits. Masks worn over the nose and mouth are required for the duration of your computer appointment.

Wireless Internet is available outside the library building 24/7. We are also preparing to circulate Wi-Fi hotspots to our patrons in the coming month. Stay tuned to our website and Facebook for more information.

In addition to the services listed above, we continue to provide a variety of virtual programs and services, including:

  • Online Programs: Our Adult Book Club, Podcast Brunch Club, Stories & Stouts programs for adults, weekly Wednesday activities for teens, and weekly story times for children are all ongoing virtually, in addition to special programming every month. More information can be found on our Facebook page.

On a personal note, we want to express our deep sadness for the ongoing situation in our community due to the pandemic. This year has been tremendously hard on every single one of us, from struggling businesses and families losing income right before the holidays, to the essential workers and health care professionals who are keeping the rest of us going, to the parents and teachers who have kept our community’s children safe and learning, to all 7,000+ people in our county who battled COVID this year. Regardless of your situation, we acknowledge your struggle and we stand with you.

We also grieve with the 144 families in Cambria County who will spend their first Christmas without their loved one in the world.

Please, wear your masks when you must go out, and stay home when you can. We CAN beat this virus, and we WILL, but we must do it together by everyone doing their part.

The library will be here for you when you need us, even if our building is closed. We hope you’ll make a curbside appointment to pick up books or DVDs and say hello, and we will continue to find creative ways to offer programs and services to you throughout the pandemic. We look forward to reopening our building as soon as it is safe to do so.
